Health and Lifestyle Requirements
Your Health Matters First
Egg donation is a medical process, which means your overall health is one of the most important parts of determining eligibility. Donors should be in good physical and emotional health, have regular menstrual cycles, and be able to safely move through the screening, medication, monitoring, and retrieval process. Lifestyle factors may also be considered, including nicotine use, drug use, alcohol use, BMI guidelines, and your ability to follow clinic instructions throughout the donation cycle. Every application is reviewed individually, and additional medical evaluation may be required before approval.

02/
Genetic and Family Medical History
Understanding Your Family Health History
As part of the screening process, donors are asked to share detailed personal and family medical history. This information helps fertility specialists better understand hereditary and genetic considerations that may influence the matching process. You will also complete genetic carrier screening using saliva, which gives intended parents and medical professionals more information before moving forward with a match.

03/
Psychological Readiness
Emotional Readiness Is Part of the Process
Egg donation is generous, but it is also personal. Donors complete a psychological evaluation to help ensure they understand the emotional considerations of donation, including motivations, expectations, and potential future questions around anonymity or disclosure. This evaluation is not intended to judge applicants. It is designed to ensure donors feel informed, prepared, and comfortable with the decision they are making.

04/
The Commitment
Reliable Communication and Follow-Through Matter
Egg donation requires appointments, screening, possible travel, medication, monitoring, and an egg retrieval procedure. Because timing is important, donors need to be dependable, responsive, and willing to follow clinic instructions throughout the process. Our team walks you through what to expect before you move forward, so you can decide whether the commitment feels right for you.
